The Traveler’s Gift – Andy Andrews Pt 1

Decisions for Success

1. The Buck Stops Here – I am responsible for my own future. “Today I will begin the process of changing where I am – mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially – by changing the way I think”

“I will never seek comfort by associating with those who have decided to be comfortable”

This speaks volumes to me. I feel like there are so many people who are settling for mediocraty because it’s comfortable. They have their “job” that is mind numblingly boring and not at all fulfilling, and they’re fine with that. Well, they’ll complain about it all day long, but won’t do anything to change it. That will not be me.

2. I will seek wisdom – “I will read and listen only to what increases my belief in myself and my future” Which probably means I should get OFF of FaceBook. I cannot tell you how many times I am online and get extremely discouraged at the posts I read. If it weren’t for the extreme encouragement I also receive through Facebook, I would delete it.

“From this moment forward, I will choose to associate with people whose lives and lifestyles I admire”

It’s funny how perfect timing can be. On my way in to work this morning, I listened to this clip from Daren Hardy from Success Magazine. Take a listen.

“If I associate with eagles, I will learn to soar to great heights. I am an eagle. It is my destiny to fly.”

“A wise man will cultivate a servant’s spirit, for that particular attribute attracts people like no other”

“He who serves the most grows the fastest”

Serving others is something I struggle with. I’m ashamed to say that. I feel like I’m a pretty good friend to people, and that I do things for others often. What I mean is – how do I go about serving people MORE? I think listening to people is one place to start…I need to listen more, and talk less.
