As a young person, I was not thinking about “anti-aging” or age related health concerns at all. I was always an active kid…5 nights a week in ballet class, basketball at school. During the summers you’d find me at golf/tennis/swim camps, or rollerblading around the neighborhood with my friends. That was my life until the age of 18. When I went to college, I became very inactive, gained more than the Freshman 15 lbs, and really let my health go down the drain.
Fast forward to today, and I have learned so much over the past 10 years, that I know others need to know about too. We have one chance at this life, and taking care of our bodies. Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle with eating properly, and getting enough exercise. I think everyone does. But, I am always working to learn more and take small action steps to take care of myself so that I can live a long and healthy life.
One of the most important things I’ve learned is that medicine isn’t always the answer. Sure, some prescription drugs are absolutely necessary…BUT, if I can use nutrition and nutritional supplements to help keep me off of those prescription drugs, I’d prefer to do so.
More to come…
